Role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Site Foreman is the second management level in command and acts as a coordinating manager and client interface. The Site Foreman directs and manages all on-site manpower, subcontractors, and equipment, ensuring safety standards and meeting construction deadlines. Collaborating with the Site Supervisor, they are responsible for the efficient use of labor, equipment, tools, and materials. Familiarity with contract interpretation, policies, and procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Safety: Lead a safe work culture, ensure crew safety, understand legal liabilities, and comply with WCB Acts & Regulations. Conduct safety meetings, hazard assessments, participate in incident investigations, and report equipment issues.
2. Leadership and Supervision: Coordinate crew, communicate expectations, assign tasks, resolve conflicts, maintain work standards, and ensure policy compliance.
3. Planning and Scheduling: Follow project plans, translate work requirements into plans, overcome work challenges, and adjust daily goals to meet production targets.
4. Employee Relations: Foster an inclusive, respectful work environment, address issues among crew members, and promote teamwork.
5. Quality Control: Ensure work meets quality standards through site assessments, supervision, and inspections.

Requirements

• Good standing with the ITA
• Red Seal Certification or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Journeyman

Working Conditions

• 24/7 availability may be required
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Travel to various sites
• Use of safety equipment such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses
• Overtime as needed
• Exposure to construction site hazards, indoors and outdoors
