Responsibilities

1. Review and understand job specifications and drawings, and follow through with estimating processes to develop competitive bids.
2. Conduct site/tender walk-throughs to cross-reference drawings, avoid site interferences, and identify proactive solutions.
3. Produce material and labour take-offs using estimating software to develop accurate quotations.
4. Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify specifications and wording.
5. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for inclusion in the final quotation.
6. Participate in bid closing processes, including bid review meetings.
7. Participate in handover meetings with the project management team after the award.

Ideal Candidate

1. Minimum five (5) years of estimating experience within the electrical construction industry.
2. An Electrical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent trade experience.
3. Experience in Microsoft Office; proficiency with Accubid Pro and/or Enterprise, and Live Count is a plus.
