Job summary

Team Power Solutions (TPS) in Saskatoon is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates for electrical projects. You will work with customers, vendors, and internal teams to develop proposals and ensure project success.

Ideal candidates bring journeyperson or Electrical Technologist credentials and 1–5 years of experience, with strong cost analysis, drawing interpretation, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Experience estimating electrical projects and reading electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of electrical materials and labor costing
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and proposals by reviewing specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs while obtaining pricing from vendors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand project needs and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedules, and available resources.
  • Monitor project estimates, support smaller projects, and assist in resolving technical or project-related issues.
  • Maintain estimating databases, documentation, and proposal records while ensuring accuracy and profitability.

About the Opportunity: Electrical Estimator

At Team Power Solutions (TPS), we deliver innovative electrical solutions that power our customers' success. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates for electrical projects. Working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams, you'll develop proposals, evaluate project requirements, and help secure new business while ensuring exceptional customer service and project success.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and proposals by reviewing specifications, drawings, and project requirements.

  • Experience estimating electrical projects, interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor costing, contracting, and proposal preparation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused professional committed to quality, continuous improvement, and delivering profitable project outcomes.
Education and Experience

The position requires a journeyperson designation or an Electrical Technologist Diploma with a minimum 1-5 years of industry experience including quotations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
