Job summary

Wood West & Associates Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineering Team Lead to guide multidisciplinary electrical projects for institutional buildings and infrastructure across Western Canada. The role spans healthcare, transportation, industrial, municipal, and public infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will lead design through construction administration, manage resources and budgets, and contribute to business development. Travel within Western Canada is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligible for registration in additional provinces.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering consulting with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and industry standards.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support multidisciplinary electrical engineering projects from planning and design through construction administration.
• Manage operational resources, schedules, budgets, and team deliverables.
• Support business development initiatives, proposal writing, and strategic planning activities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support long-term business growth.
• Participate in recruitment, performance management, training, and team development.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and project execution.
