WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Energy team. You will lead senior electrical design across energy and power projects, engaging clients and guiding multi‑discipline teams through design, procurement, and construction support.

This role supports projects in Canada with preference for BC and AB locations, offering growth in a global engineering firm focused on a low‑carbon future.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering with active P.Eng registration.
• 10+ years of EPCM electrical engineering experience in energy and power generation.
• Proven success in a Lead Engineer capacity.
• Ability to independently manage projects and guide multi-discipline teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver senior‑level electrical engineering for medium and large energy projects, from design basis to field implementation.
• Lead client and stakeholder engagement to clarify needs and align scope through all phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to support cost control, scheduling, procurement, and construction support.
• Develop feasibility studies, technical reports, and conceptual design packages.
• Review drawings and documents for codes and client requirements.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and designers.
• Manage scope, schedule, change control, and deliverables per project execution plans.
• Uphold corporate and client procedures to ensure quality and safety.
