Job summary

AVL Manufacturing, based in Hamilton, Ontario, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Electrical Engineering Department and deliver high‑quality power-generation and energy-storage solutions. You will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate department activities, develop policies, and ensure on‑time, cost‑effective delivery.

A 5–7 year manufacturing background and team leadership are required; P.Eng preferred, with CSA/NEC/NFPA/UL codes knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-like or diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years in manufacturing.
• 2–3 years experience managing a team of Electrical Designers/Engineers.
• P.Eng designation preferred; CSA, NEC, NFPA, UL codes knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate Electrical Engineering Dept. activities.
• Develop and monitor policies to run the department efficiently and on schedule.
• Review diagrams and submittals for customer approval; provide field support.
