Job summary

Rocket Lab in Toronto, Canada invites an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support the Space Systems Division with reaction wheel and star tracker products, and to assist the implementation of electronics design software.

You’ll work full-time on-site for at least 16 weeks starting May 3, 2027, under a mentor team, tackling real engineering challenges and attending tech talks and intern events. A relocation stipend is available, with a competitive CAD/engineering exposure.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• GPA of 3.5 or above
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• Hands on Experience working with hardware (Arduinos, raspberry pi)
• Experience creating simple circuits and prototyping with a breadboard or break out board
• Soldering experience
• Computer-aided design (CAD) experience

AsaElectrical Engineering Intern based at Rocket Lab’s site in Toronto, Canada, you will have the opportunity to support the Space Systems Division in bringing new reaction wheel and star tracker products to market as well as supporting implementation of new electronics design software.The Electrical Engineeringteamis responsible forthe development,testand maintenance of all the flight electronics in our reaction wheel and star tracker products.

COMPENSATION AND OTHER BENEFITS

You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Ontario Pay Transparency Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab’s compensation package for this role.
