Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Toronto, Canada. You will support the Space Systems Division, contributing to reaction wheel and star tracker hardware while learning from mentors in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll engage in hands-on hardware work, electronics design software implementation, and cross-team collaboration to deliver results and grow technical skills throughout a 16-week on-site internship starting May 3, 2027.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)

  • Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges

Electrical Engineering Intern Summer 2027

AsaElectrical Engineering Intern based at Rocket Lab’s site in Toronto, Canada, you will have the opportunity to support the Space Systems Division in bringing new reaction wheel and star tracker products to market as well as supporting implementation of new electronics design software.The Electrical Engineeringteamis responsible forthe development,testand maintenance of all the flight electronics in our reaction wheel and star tracker products.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

GPA of 3.0 or above

3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

GPA of 3.5 or above

6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)

Hands on Experience working with hardware (Arduinos, raspberry pi)

Experience creating simple circuits and prototyping with a breadboard or break out board

Soldering experience

Computer-aided design (CAD) experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 16 consecutive weeks beginning May3, 2027

COMPENSATION AND OTHER BENEFITS
  • You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs
  • Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab’s compensation package for this role. You may be eligible for company stock, or cash incentives, and can purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab’s Employee Stock Purchase Program.
