  • Specify and size UPS systems, standby generators, paralleling switchgear, ATS/STS, PDUs, RPPs and busway
  • Carry out load calculations, short-circuit, protection coordination and arc flash studies (ETAP, SKM or EasyPower)
  • Design grounding, bonding and lightning protection systems
  • Coordinate with mechanical, controls (EPMS/BMS) and architectural teams on integrated designs
  • Prepare drawings, specifications and design reports from concept through construction documents
  • Provide construction support: shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site inspections and deficiency reports
  • Support integrated systems testing and commissioning (Level 1-5)
  • Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, CSA standards, NFPA 70E/110 and client standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers, and liaise directly with clients and contractors
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years of building electrical design, with at least 2 years on mission-critical projects (data centres, hospitals, telecom or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution, UPS, generator and redundancy design
  • Hands-on experience with power system study software (ETAP, SKM or EasyPower)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Clear written and verbal communication with clients and contractors
Nice to have
  • Hyperscale or colocation data centre experience
  • Uptime Institute ATD/AOS or similar accreditation
  • Exposure to EPMS, BMS or SCADA integration
  • Commissioning or integrated systems testing experience
  • Experience with energy-efficient and low-carbon electrical design (battery storage, renewables, heat recovery)
What's on offer
  • Base salary of $95,000-140,000, depending on experience and licensure
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Health, dental and vision benefits from day one, plus RRSP matching
