bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
4–8 years in maintenance and improvement of electrical systems or infrastructures in a production environment (underground/surface mining preferred).
eligible for registration with APEGS; Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng).
knowledge of electrical codes and standards, HV/LV installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability.

Application Information

In this role, you will:

Provide electrical engineering support and troubleshooting for mining and milling operations.
Investigate equipment and system failures and develop solutions to improve reliability and performance.
Lead and support electrical engineering projects, including scope development, cost estimates, specifications, and design documentation.
Review and provide technical oversight for work completed by consultants and internal engineering teams.
Ensure engineering designs and projects comply with Cameco standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Be responsible for asset reliability and continuous improvement activities related to electrical system infrastructure.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and construction teams to plan and execute maintenance and capital improvement initiatives.

Required:

bachelors degree in electrical engineering;
four to eight years of experience in the field of maintenance and improvement of ---electrical systems or infrastructures in a production environment, preferably, underground and surface mining operations.
eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and -------Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS);professional Engineer designation (P. Eng);
knowledge in various aspects of electrical engineering, familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards, high and medium voltage installations, electrical ---maintenance, troubleshooting, system improvement, operational reliability;
knowledge in generators, transformer and distribution system, large size motors, PLCs, sleds, MCC system, switchgears/breakers/relays and other electrical equipment; an
