Hatch Ltd. in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training to join our Project Delivery Group.

Reporting to the CA&E discipline lead, you will support projects globally from our Vancouver office and apply your academic knowledge to practical electrical design and power system studies. You will gain mentorship, work on challenging projects, and develop professional skills through cross-functional collaboration and site and office experience while pursuing your professional

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of power systems, AC and DC design fundamentals.
• Courses in electric circuits, power electronics and electric machines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Industrial electrical design for LV, MV and HV power distribution.
• Electrical system modelling using EasyPower/ETAP; arc flash studies.
• Development of technical specifications, reports and construction work packages.
• Power system control programming, configuration, and on-site commissioning.
• Interfacing and collaboration with project team members, clients and vendors.

Hatch is seeking anElectrical Engineer-in-Trainingnew graduate in our Project Delivery Group. Reporting to the Controls, Automation and Electrical (CA&E) discipline lead Engineer, you will support projects globally working from our Vancouver, British Columbia office.

Responsibilities:

• Industrial electrical design for LV, MV and HV power distribution including development of single line diagrams, motor schematics, protection/control schemes and layout drawings.
• Electrical system modelling using EasyPower/ETAP, conducting arc flash and other studies.
• Development of technical specifications, reports and construction work packages
• Power system control programming, configuration, implementation on-site and commissioning
• Interfacing and collaboration with project team members, clients and vendors.

Education and Experience:

• Graduating in 2027 or recent graduate in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor or Master program at an accredited University.
• Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community.
• Good knowledge of power systems, AC and DC design an electrical design fundamentals.
• Courses in electric circuits, power electronics and electric machines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Previous coop or work terms in electrical engineering design/execution will be considered an asset.

Compensation:

Range: $81,000.00 - $84,000.00

At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
