Qualifications

Electrical Engineer-in-Training

Join BBA Consultants and actively contribute to major electrical engineering projects, from early business stages to onsite equipment commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliverables that meet BBA and client standards.
• Develop design deliverables under supervision of project engineers.
• Assist with calculations and studies.
• Assist with site inspections, testing, and commissioning at client sites.
• Use leadership skills to develop relationships, train junior staff, and manage a passionate team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university.
• Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT.
• At least one year of engineering experience.
• Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications.
• Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations.
• Strong communication skills (spoken and written English), soft and relationship‑building skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to travel to client sites within Canada, USA, and abroad for short‑term assignments.
• Advanced English skills; advanced French skills for collaboration in Québec.
• Ability to draft technical documents in both languages.
• Asset: knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV).
• Asset: knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, EMTP‑RV.
