Description

Amrep Mfg Co LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, documenting, testing, improving, and leading the development of electrical devices and/or equipment. This position also involves managing and developing a team of employees.

Job Details

Amrep Mfg Co LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, documenting, testing, improving, and leading the development of electrical devices and/or equipment. This role requires collaboration with all plant departments and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Salary Range: $95,500 - $110,000 (Based on experience)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Evaluate electrical systems and components to propose and implement improvements
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment (on-site and off-site on occasions)
3. Create electrical manuals with troubleshooting guidelines per unit
4. Train team members on electrical systems, assembly processes, and best practices
5. Communicate with OEMs for electrical system vehicle integration
6. Provide electrical engineering support across departments
7. Perform project-related electrical engineering tasks including proposals, design, calculations, and cost estimations
8. Train technicians in programming vehicle ECUs and ECMs
9. Ensure a safe and positive work environment
10. Document electrical schematics
11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
2. 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
3. 3+ years of experience with CAN bus communication and diagnostics of vehicle components (J1939 Protocol preferred)
4. 3+ years of experience using CAD software (AutoCAD)
5. Effective prioritization and deadline management skills
6. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
7. Bilingual skills in English & Spanish are preferred but not required
