Qualifications

  • Diplôme pertinent en design industriel ou équivalent requis.

Job Description

In a world where the energy transition is taking on all its importance, the draughtsman or technician/draughtsman will be called upon to play an active part in clean energy projects related to hydroelectric facilities. Our switchgear and control team is looking for candidates to help us carry out engineering work on a variety of large-scale, multidisciplinary projects, such as the refurbishment of generating units, electrical and mechanical auxiliary services and automation at Hydro-Québec power stations.

This person will work in a multidisciplinary environment and will be able to develop his or her skills by working with experienced professionals. He or she will also be required to take part in internal and external training sessions.

We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices. The position can be based anywhere in Quebec, preferably in the Greater Montreal or Sherbrooke areas.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in the production of electrical switchgear engineering documents with a team of drafters, technicians and engineers
  • Participate in the interdisciplinary coordination of 3D models
  • Carry out 3D modelling of multidisciplinary hydroelectric schemes
  • Participate in the application of BIM modelling principles and digital collaboration tools
  • Preparing project drawings such as plan views, elevations, including detail drawings, various layouts, diagrams, etc.
  • Use of state-of-the-art digital scanning tools
Qualifications
  • Relevant vocational diploma (DEP) (industrial design, architecture, electromechanics, etc.);
  • Experience in using software (Revit, Auto-CAD, etc.);
  • Fluency in written and spoken French;
  • Autonomous, resourceful and a team player;
  • Willing to use digital design tools to their full potential;
  • Basic knowledge of the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
