Your Work Environment at EXP

In this role, you will be part of the mining team, based in our Sudbury or North Bay Ontario office.

What a Day at EXP Looks Like

1. Work closely with our lead engineer and staff designers to design and draft accurate drawing packages.
2. Perform electrical drafting including single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, grounding plans, wiring, schematics, AC/DC wiring systems, loop diagrams, plan views, and elevation/section drawings.
3. Assist the lead engineer in designing power & lighting layouts, circuiting, fire alarm, automation & control, instrumentation, and electrical details.
4. Draft using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or REVIT environments.
5. Plot, scan, and issue project drawings and documentation packages.
6. Support multiple projects, meet client deadlines, and deliverables.

What Your Experience Looks Like

1. Experience in heavy industrial design and layout, EPCM environment preferred.
2. Instrumentation experience required.
3. Technical college graduate with North American experience in mining, mineral, or similar industries.
4. Design experience, preferably in consulting, with a focus on Mineral Mining projects.
5. PLC and instrumentation design skills.
6. Strong commitment to Safety and Quality.
7. Organized, self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, with good communication skills.
8. Understanding of design, engineering codes, and technical standards.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
10. Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation required.
11. Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, guidelines, and systems coordination.
