Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Electrical Design Technician to support the engineering team in Kimberley, Canada. You will create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using CAD software to produce accurate drawings that meet project specifications.

This hybrid role involves collaboration with engineers, BOM preparation, and contributing to design reviews from the Kimberley office or remotely.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or Designer.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
• Understanding of electrical symbols, standards, and components.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setup, both in the Kimberley office and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in the selection of electrical components and materials.
• Prepare bill of materials (BOMs) and other project-related documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and relevant industry standards .
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
• Support the engineering team during the design, review, and implementation phases of projects.
