Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking an Electrical Design Lead to guide a team of Electrical Designers in delivering safe, compliant electrical control systems for automated machinery.

You will drive technical direction, reviews, and documentation in line with CSA/ESA/UL/NFPA/OSHA standards. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Mechanical and Controls teams, ensure ISO 9001 processes, and oversee design, validation, and as-built deliverables while promoting safety, quality, and timely project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of electrical design experience in industrial automation.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring team members.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• Knowledge of CSA, ESA, UL, NFPA, OSHA standards.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Designers, provide technical leadership.
• Review designs for quality and compliance.
• Mentor team and conduct 1:1 meetings.
• Coordinate with Mechanical/Controls/Project teams.
• Ensure ISO 9001 process adherence.
• Maintain as-built documentation and safety compliance.
• Support commissioning and customer acceptance activities.
