Job summary

CAN-ENG Furnaces International Ltd. in Niagara Falls, Ontario invites an Electrical Engineering Project Leader - Designer to join our design team. You will assist senior engineers by preparing and checking drawings for automation equipment, power distribution and control panel interconnections.

The role involves selecting VFDs, process controllers and sensors, reviewing datasheets, and contributing to specification writing and quotations. Occasional travel to installations may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technology diploma.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Outstanding team working and organizational abilities.
Creativity and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare and check engineering system drawings for automation and industrial equipment.
Familiarity with CAD design software such as Eplan and AutoCAD.
Review component data sheets, controls documentation and manuals.
Variable frequency drive selection/integration and controller/hardware integration.
Project planning, scheduling and meeting deadlines.
