Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and coordinate electrical engineering works for new buildings and renovations across Canada. You will assist with system calculations and collaborate to produce design documents.

You will work with Architects, Structural, and Mechanical teams to prepare drawings, specifications, and contract administration. Licensure (P.Eng or EIT) and NBCC/Electrical Code knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed to practice as P.Eng or E.I.T. in a Canadian Province.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD software required.
• Experience in a consulting office focusing on design, detailing, coordination and construction admin services.
• Knowledge of NBCC, Electrical Code and Energy Code and industry practice.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical layout options during planning and schematic design.
• Perform electrical load and lighting calculations and design for buildings.
• Produce contract drawings, specifications, schedules, and sketches from concept through construction.
• Prepare drawings for electrical power, lighting, data, and security systems.
• Assist with energy modeling and life-cycle analyses.
• Perform contract administration and project coordination duties.
