Job summary

Sécheron Hasler Group, with over 140 years of Swiss engineering heritage, invites an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Montreal team to advance high-power rail and industrial electrical solutions. You will engage in design activities on DC/AC traction systems and support cross‑functional projects on site in Montreal.

Your role focuses on developing single‑line diagrams and schematics, preparing manufacturing documentation, and providing production support during FAT and testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, ideally in transmission or distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Portuguese is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in internal and external project Kick-Off meetings for projects under your responsibility.
• Review tender documents in alignment with customer specifications, Sécheron standards, and cost estimations.
• Execute comprehensive electrical engineering tasks, including the development of Single Line Diagrams and detailed schematics.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation for electrical components.
• Provide production support, particularly during functional testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), upon request.
• Support customer approval processes for electrical designs, as requested by the Project Manager.
• Respond to customer inquiries through coordination with the Project Manager.
