Matchtech is working with a key client in Montreal to support the recruitment of an Electrical Design Engineer to work on high-profile railway and transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Coordinate the activities of the electrical design team. Interface with clients and stakeholders to agree on the best design solutions for the project. Coordinate design activities with other engineering disciplines and project team members. Ensure project schedules are maintained.
• Technical Expertise: Define basis of design and provide technical criteria for electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, grounding, bonding, lightning protection, etc.). Prepare conceptual and detailed engineering designs for electrical systems in railway and transit projects (stations, EEBs, tunnels, etc.). Review documents and drawings produced by the electrical team. Strong knowledge of relevant standards (CSA, OBC, NFPA, IEEE).

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in Quebec.
• 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in railway and transit project design.
