Job summary

Johnson Electric Group is seeking an Industrial Electrician in Mississauga, ON. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, refurbishing, and starting up production equipment, with emphasis on CNC, PLC, robotic and automated systems in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

The position requires a completed Electrician Apprenticeship and valid 442A/309A certificates, plus 1–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience. Onsite work with shift availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• 442A Electrician Certificate of Qualification in good standing.
• 309A Electrician Certificate of Qualification in good standing.
• Completion of an Electrician Apprenticeship.
• 1–5 years of post-qualification industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting CNC, PLC, robotic or automated assembly equipment in a high-volume production setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, refurbish, and support production equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot CNC, PLC, robotic and automated assembly equipment, VFDs, sensors, motor controls, and safety circuits.
• Repair, assemble, debug, install, and start up electrical and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Support planned maintenance and emergency breakdown response to minimize downtime.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams on new equipment installations, upgrades, and manufacturing projects.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, safety, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Ensure all work complies with company Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Production Systems.
