Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Ottawa, ON is seeking a Buildings Electrical CAD/Revit Technician/Technologist. The role focuses on producing electrical design drawings and supporting project teams across multiple projects, with mentorship for junior drafters.

The successful candidate will organize CAD files, ensure design quality, and contribute to on-schedule, on-budget project delivery under the Electrical Team Leader guidance.

Qualifications

• Electrical drafting experience using BIM tools.
• Ability to organize CAD files and project data.
• Strong collaboration with design teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Organize and maintain CAD/drawing databases per project.
• Contribute to project design teams and schedules/budgets.
• Ensure quality of drawings and graphics for the team.
• Assist and mentor new drafters.

Stantec's office in Ottawa, ONis currently seeking aBuildings Electrical CAD/Revit Technician/Technologist.This is a dynamic work environment where your abilities will strengthen and grow as you complete a diverse range of projects. Our team of interdisciplinary engineers works collaboratively with clients to design buildings and processes that are on track for safety, performance, and sustainability.

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Producing aspects of electrical design and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit;
• Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project;
• Successfully carrying out assignments on project design teams;
• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team; and ensuring that the projects' needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets;
• Training will be provided to advance your skills in areas of detailed design.
