Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Waterloo, Ontario, seeks a Buildings Electrical CAD/Revit Technician/Technologist to contribute to diverse projects. You will produce electrical design drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, organize CAD databases, and work within project teams to meet schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates have a Technology/Technician diploma and 5 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code and BIM tools such as Revit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Technology/Technician diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Certificate or diploma in an engineering technician or technology program (two or three year).
• 5 years of experience a must.
• Experience in design, drafting and construction administration for electrical systems will be an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with recent versions of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Producing aspects of electrical design and drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project.
• Successfully carrying out assignments on project design teams.
• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings and graphic work produced for the team; and ensuring that the projects' needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets.
• Training will be provided to advance your skills in areas of detailed design.
• Assist and mentor new drafters
