Job summary

PTW Energy Services in Canada is seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician to support industrial projects on a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule with 10-hour shifts (8 regular hours and 2 overtime hours). The role starts Sept 21, 2026 and ends Oct 30, 2026, with potential for ongoing work on other projects.

You will assist Journeyman electricians, read drawings and P&IDs, install motors, PLCs, control circuits, and follow the Canadian Electrical Code and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Indentured 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentice with provincial regulatory body.
  • Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
  • Fall Protection, First Aid, CSTS 2020 & ESTS training.
  • Able to read electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
  • Strong safety focus and good communication skills.
  • Flexible availability for shift work, overtime and weekends, with safety at the core.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to work in heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Journeyman Electricians with installation of industrial electrical systems.
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes.
  • Install motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit, wiring, and panels.
  • Support three-phase systems and motor terminations.
  • Follow Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), company procedures, and OHS safety standards.
  • Other duties as required.

We are seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team on upcoming small capital projectsand some maintenance assistance as needed. This position follows a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule, working 10-hour shifts (8 regular hours and 2 overtime hours per day). Project Starts Sept 21, 2026 ends Oct 30, 2026. The successful candidate will have relevant industrial or commercial experience, a strong commitment to safety, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting and exceeding client expectations.Note: We have a other projects available until the end of the year.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage starting at $32.25 - $36.55 rates will commensurate with experience and certification
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
