The City of Penticton is seeking a permanent full-time Electric Utility Operations Supervisor in Penticton, BC. You will supervise Meter & Traffic Technicians and Powerline Technicians, delivering safe, reliable operation of the electrical distribution system and metering, streetlighting, and traffic signals.

Reporting to the Manager of Energy & Environment, you will lead safety programs, planning, capital projects, and workforce development through inspections, performance reviews, and coaching

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyperson Powerline Technician certification or equivalent.
• A-FSR designation with Technical Safety BC, or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience supervising electrical field crews.
• Experience working with high voltage distribution systems.
• Valid driver's license.

Aufgaben

• Direct supervision of Meter & Traffic Technicians and Powerline Technicians.
• Oversee safety programs, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and staff development.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee distribution system operations and maintenance.
• Oversee metering operations and compliance with regulations.
• Support capital project planning and asset management.
