LP Building Solutions is seeking a Journey Maintenance Electrician to perform predictive and preventative electrical maintenance under minimal supervision at our Canadian facility. The role involves PMs, troubleshooting PLC/ HMI systems, and supporting training of apprentices and staff.

Applicants should have Red Seal Construction or Industrial Electrician Certification, strong problem solving and reading of electrical drawings, and willingness to advance trade skills.

Formación

• Knowledge of electrical functions and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and Allen Bradley controls is advantageous.
• Experience with VFDs and motor controls is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct electrical preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment and PLC/HMI systems.
• Maintain high workmanship quality and safety standards.
• Complete training identified by Electrical Team Leader.
• Support training of apprentices and site personnel.
• Participate in EHS programs and housekeeping.
• Contribute to improvement projects and team tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.

In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Conduct electrical PMs
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment
• Apply skills to perform assigned tasks and maintain high quality of workmanship
• Complete training identified by the Electrical Team Leader
• Maintain and Troubleshoot PLC Systems
• Assist in the training of other electricians' apprentices and site personnel based on your skills and abilities
• Actively participate in EHS Programs
• Maintain housekeeping of the assigned areas
• Participating in improvement projects
• Perform other duties as required

Education

• Red Seal Construction or Industrial Electrician Certification Required

Experience

• 3 Years of Industrial experience;
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
