Compensation ranges from $72,300 to $90,000, depending on experience, education, skills, and location.

Job Purpose

EnerSys is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) & Facilities Manager for our Burnaby location, reporting to the Plant Manager. The role involves implementing EHS management systems, maintaining facilities, and ensuring compliance with standards like ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, focusing on safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
  2. Promote safety culture through leadership and training.
  3. Lead Behavior-Based Safety and EOS-aligned programs.
  4. Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  5. Manage regulatory audits and documentation.
  6. Oversee emergency response and first aid programs.
  7. Maintain and operate facilities, including equipment and infrastructure.
  8. Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and waste reduction.
  9. Develop EHS training programs and safety tools for supervisors.
  10. Investigate incidents and analyze trends for risk mitigation.
  11. Maintain ISO standards and pursue certifications.
  12. Manage EHS and Facilities budgets.
  13. Support operational safety and efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment or related field.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
  • 5+ years leadership in EHS or facilities management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial tech.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management tools.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with sustainability and energy management.
  • Ability to develop procedures and training materials.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
