This position administers all health programs, assists in all aspects of health, safety, and environment, and provides support for a range of human resources programs and services including benefits, training, and payroll.
DUTIES / RESPONSABILITIES
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and counsel location leaders to assist them in the execution of their EHS accountabilities.
- Partner with location leadership to deliver EHS objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical EHS plans to drive fatality and serious injury prevention, increase risk recognition, reduce injuries and incidents, and improve employee health and environmental compliance and protection.
- Ensure site compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Act as the location’s representative to key internal and external regulations.
- Administer plant’s health programs, including hearing conservation, health hazard controls, heat stress, ergonomics, respiratory protection, and coordination of occupational medical services.
- Follow up on all employees’ injuries and illnesses.
- Administer and maintain the EHS website.
- Provide EHS incident monthly statistics.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets and chemical database.
- Maintain industrial hygiene sampling database, including data entry and generating employee exposure letters.
- Conduct audits on the shop floor regarding various EHS aspects.
- Support the EHS Single Point Accountable resources.
- Learn and administer company EHS rules and regulations.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental rules.
HUMAN RESOURCES
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Support Human Resources advisors on various aspects, including payroll, HR database, and benefits.
- Provide information to employees as needed.
