Overview

What You Will Do

1. Lead the development and support of modern visualization tools, emphasizing the Microsoft stack and broad development practices.
2. Collaborate on innovative projects to design and implement advanced visualization tools, dashboards, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) that leverage modern data streams such as Event Hubs, Kafka, Data Bricks, and Azure Data Synapse.
3. Demonstrate expertise in analysis, design, and implementation of visualization and reporting applications, particularly utilizing Power BI and Tableau, while integrating data from non-traditional sources.
4. Gather and define requirements to create web-based reports and dashboards that meet user needs, focusing on modern data streams beyond traditional SQL databases.
5. Oversee project execution, ensure thorough documentation, and conduct testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
6. Develop and maintain codebases, technical documentation, and files supporting ongoing development, with an emphasis on modern data integration.
7. Create project plans and estimate efforts for visualization projects, considering complexity and modern data tools.
8. Provide technical support for visualization tools, addressing complex issues related to modern data streams.
9. Translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards, ensuring customer needs are met through effective data visualization.
10. Conduct data analysis to identify insights, make recommendations, and develop data displays communicating complex analyses from modern data streams.
11. Organize and facilitate data review sessions with stakeholders, capturing and validating process details with SMEs.
12. Support automation developers by clarifying requirements and assisting with environment and permission setup, especially with modern data tools.
13. Engage in deployment activities, including UAT, Go/No-Go meetings, and hyper-care support, aligning with modern development practices.
14. Assist in operational issue resolution, troubleshooting production support challenges, and documenting change requests, focusing on modern data visualization and integration.

What You Bring To The Role

1. Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams in developing advanced visualization tools, fostering innovation and collaboration.
2. Strong Analytical Skills: Expertise in analyzing complex data sets and deriving insights for strategic decisions.
3. Design Aesthetics: Ability to design intuitive, visually appealing dashboards and reports that enhance user experience.
4. Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating clear documentation, including requirements and process diagrams.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and ensuring alignment.
6. Agile & SDLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of agile practices and the software development lifecycle.
7. Experience in Visualization Tools: 7-10 years of hands-on experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, and other platforms.
8. Cloud Data Management: Experience with Azure Synapse, Databricks, CosmosDB, AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
9. Data Integration Tools: Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflows, Power Query.
10. Programming & Query Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, Python, and data query languages like SQL, DAX, T-SQL, GraphQL, PromQL, KQL.
11. Data Validation: Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and executing test cycles.
12. Collaboration Tools: Proficiency with Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Office 365, Teams.
13. Open-Source Technologies: Awareness of tools like Apache Kafka and Spark.
14. Industry Trends: Keen understanding of emerging data visualization and analytics trends.

This role requires fluency in English, supporting collaboration with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

Pay Range

The base salary range is $86,000 to $128,500, potentially eligible for bonuses. Salary is determined by location, skills, and qualifications. KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
