Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying their needs and providing advice on financial solutions that serve their best interests. Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to ensure a positive customer experience and achieve business goals.

  1. Identify customer needs and refer them to BMO colleagues when appropriate.
  2. Support banking requests, handle transactions, and assist walk-in customers.
  3. Greet customers warmly and meet their banking and transactional needs efficiently.
  4. Promote digital and self-serve banking options to simplify the banking experience.
  5. Review customer profiles, engage in needs-based conversations, and identify opportunities for additional products or services.
  6. Contribute to branch business results and enhance the customer experience.
  7. Support operational activities such as inventory management, processing service requests, and handling customer applications.
  8. Manage cash transactions accurately between treasury and branch units.
  9. Perform routine tasks within established service levels.
  10. Be a collaborative team member within the branch and market teams.
  11. Understand customer banking and credit card needs, integrating marketing promotions into conversations.
  12. Organize work information for accuracy and completeness.
  13. Proactively find personalized ways to enhance each customer’s experience.
  14. Seek continuous improvement in the branch customer experience.
  15. Assist in achieving business results and delivering a high-quality experience.
  16. Work at multiple branches as needed; schedule may vary weekly.
  17. Follow risk and compliance policies to protect customer assets and privacy.
  18. Stay informed about industry trends, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  19. Maintain current knowledge of banking products and practices.
  20. Report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  21. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  22. Complete assigned tasks under supervision and escalate issues when necessary.
  23. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required; post-secondary education or certification in a related field is desirable.
  • Knowledge of personal, commercial, and partner banking offers to serve customer needs effectively.
  • Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
  • Ability to assist customers unfamiliar with digital applications, building their confidence.
  • Professional presence and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of sales and business banking solutions for referral purposes.
  • Strong customer service orientation and resourcefulness.
  • Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Basic knowledge gained through on-the-job training.
  • Effective verbal and written communication (basic level).
  • Organizational and teamwork skills (basic level).

Salary: $33,850.00 - $43,500.00

Pay Type: Salaried
