We are currently seeking a Canadian Tax Senior Accountant to join our tax practice in Vancouver! This versatile role will involve working directly with a number of our staff and clients. We are looking for an individual who is committed to a career in taxation and has the desire to take a lead role in managing tax engagements and contributing both to the growth of the firm and our clients.

Our tax practice offers the opportunity to work in a range of tax and succession planning areas including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, purchase and sale of private businesses, estate planning, and cross-border investment and compliance. We are interested in meeting candidates with experience in any of these areas.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Prepare and review (where applicable) Canadian individual and corporate tax returns.
  2. Verify tax assessments.
  3. Perform technical research and document tax plan recommendations.
  4. Correspond with clients, other advisors, and tax authorities.
  5. Coordinate and manage client accounts.
  6. Assist managers and partners with tax initiatives, including but not limited to developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients.
  7. Understand, analyze, and research tax queries for clients, Partners, Senior Managers, and Managers.
  8. Collaborate with and support team members in providing exceptional client service.
  9. Provide leadership and direction to junior team members to ensure completion of filings by designated deadlines.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will have:
  1. CPA, CA or working towards a CPA designation; completion of UFE/CFE.
  2. Commitment to pursue the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
  3. Minimum of three years of Canadian tax experience.
  4. Experience working in a public practice Accounting Firm is an asset.
  5. Ability to provide exceptional client service.
  6. Adept organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Attention to detail.

Salary range: $60,000 - $85,000 per annum. Please note that the range detailed above reflects the base pay only and does not include the benefits that we offer.
