Position Scope

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Process Supervisor oversees the safe, efficient operation of malting and grain handling processes at our Montreal plant.

Responsibilities

1. Lead plant production, shipping, and grain handling operations with other staff.
2. Set priorities and schedules for manufacturing and grain handling to ensure safety and efficiency.
3. Coordinate processing and shipping to meet customer needs.
4. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delays.
5. Ensure compliance with manufacturing best practices and safety regulations.
6. Manage environmental and safety programs to meet legal and safety standards.
7. Plan and schedule production staff to meet goals.
8. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and safety requirements.
9. Organize and manage team tasks effectively.
10. Assist in recruiting, training, and retaining talent.
11. Collaborate with HR on labor relations.
12. Maintain health and safety training programs.

Skills & Abilities

1. Brewing or agriculture education is an asset.
2. Experience in grain, agriculture, malting, or brewing is beneficial.
3. Supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred.
4. Knowledge of safety procedures in manufacturing environments.
5. Thorough understanding of HACCP standards.
6. Experience with labor relations is an asset.
7. Experience managing railcars is advantageous.
