The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis supports the strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of finance for Global Wealth Management (GWM). This role ensures that business strategies, plans, and initiatives comply with regulations, policies, and procedures. It involves defining, managing, and delivering financial processes, controls, and reporting for GWM. As a key partner to the GWM Finance management team, the Senior Manager provides in-depth financial analysis to support profit planning, forecasting, and profitability reviews.

This includes applying analytics to enhance financial intelligence around planning, forecasting, analysis, regulatory changes, and strategic planning. The role acts as a lead and subject matter expert on executive reporting and expense management, including cross-training finance teams to improve capabilities.

Leadership:

• Lead a customer-focused culture to deepen relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Prioritize and drive cross-functional initiatives independently.
• Develop relationships with finance teams and business partners across GWM to understand priorities and support business activity.
• Motivate others, build trust, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Lead operational improvements in Finance processes, identifying and implementing continuous improvements.
• Ensure operational excellence aligned with Bank values, code of conduct, and risk management policies.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Lead GWM consolidation for forecasting and planning across multiple business groups.
• Manage executive reporting, including monthly and quarterly management reports, Bluebook, forecasts, and profit plans.
• Coordinate high-level and detailed forecasting and planning processes.
• Review assumptions for reasonableness and analyze expense streams, including IT&S project costs.
• Prepare insightful commentary and reports, leveraging tools like Power BI.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Strategic and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the main contact for GWM finance partners and Enterprise FP&A teams.
• Manage multiple requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Review and challenge financial results and allocations.
• Draft concise financial commentary highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support strategy implementation, such as expense transparency initiatives.
• Identify opportunities through analysis and understanding of the wealth business.
• Drive discussions on expense optimization.
• Maintain internal controls and manage audit processes.

Qualifications:

• MBA and/or Accounting Designation preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant financial experience.
• Strong executive reporting skills, with the ability to synthesize large data sets.
• Deep expense management expertise.
• Experience with Hyperion, OBI, or similar tools preferred.
• Knowledge of GWM products, services, and compliance requirements.
• Leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
