Base pay range

104,500.00 / yr - $132,000.00 / yr

MatchBox is urgently seeking an experienced Senior UI / UX Designer for a permanent position with our Vancouver based client. This role can work fully remotely from anywhere across Eastern Canada with a preference for Montreal, Ottawa or the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, product goals, and technical constraints
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma
• Design and refine UI elements, interactions, and visual assets that align with the brand guidelines
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and synthesize insights to improve the user experience
• Advocate for design best practices and contribute to the evolution of the design system
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback quickly and effectively
• Stay current with trends in design, technology, and user behavior

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in UI / UX design, ideally in a digital product environment
• Proven experience with Figma for design, prototyping, and collaboration
• A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across web and / or mobile
• Solid understanding of interaction design, visual hierarchy, and accessibility best practices
• Comfortable working in agile or iterative product teams
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain your design decisions
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote setting
• Experience with motion design / micro-interactions, design systems and component-based design
• Knowledge of HTML / CSS or front-end frameworks
