Job Introduction

Frequentis Group, headquartered in Vienna, is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Mission-critical control centres worldwide ensure the safety of aircraft, trains, ships, and citizens by coordinating rescue operations and dispatching first responders. These centres rely on four key technologies: voice communications, situational awareness tools, decision assist tools, and a resilient voice and data network.

With over 500 customers in 150 countries and more than 40,000 workstations, Frequentis Canada seeks a dynamic Quality Manager to join our team in Gatineau, Quebec. Reporting to the President, you will lead and coordinate business process improvements, ensure quality practices, and oversee the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS). Your role includes maintaining certifications to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, and managing internal and external audits.

Key Tasks
  1. Maintain and optimize QM systems according to ISO standards to ensure certification compliance.
  2. Provide expert advice, reports, and briefings on quality issues and opportunities.
  3. Develop and review policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with standards, legislation, and best practices.
  4. Establish and report metrics to monitor the QMS performance.
  5. Lead recertification processes and manage ISO audits.
  6. Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with software and safety quality standards.
  7. Represent Frequentis Canada during customer audits.
  8. Implement and oversee an Improvements Program.
  9. Maintain a Legal Obligation Register for ISO and safety standards.
  10. Enhance reliability in new product development processes.
  11. Ensure Electrostatic Discharge standards are followed.
  12. Provide EHS guidance, conduct audits, and manage legislative compliance.
  13. Coordinate EHS induction for new employees and manage training programs.
  14. Investigate and resolve breaches or non-compliance issues, and promote EHS practices.
Key Qualifications
  • Engineering or related technical degree with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Auditor qualifications with deep knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Proven experience in quality management, preferably in tech environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Mission-critical mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligible for Secret Security Clearance within the first year.
  • Knowledge of ED109A and ED153 is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in French and English is a strong asset.
