Position: Class 1 Truck Driver

The successful candidate will operate and maintain tandem, truck and pup, end dump, quad wagons, and super B configurations, delivering various materials or equipment to jobs and customers. Loading and unloading trucks may be required. Most of the time will be spent driving. Valuable skills include backing into asphalt pavers, loading asphalt under a silo, operating loaders, and spreading gravel.

This position requires a valid Class 1 license.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

1. Maintain daily logs, perform trip inspections on equipment, ensure safety and roadworthiness, and complete necessary paperwork.
2. Experience in loading, securing, and transporting various materials or heavy equipment is an asset.
3. Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver hours, and occupational health & safety standards.
4. Follow Border Paving Ltd.'s safe working procedures and practices.
5. Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and out-of-town work during the construction season (May-November).
6. Perform other duties as required.
