Class 1 Truck Drivers will operate and maintain tandem, truck and pup, end dump, quad wagons, and super b configurations delivering various materials or equipment to jobs and customers. The successful applicant may be required to load and unload the truck. The majority of time as a Class 1 driver is spent driving. Previous experience backing into an asphalt paver, loading asphalt under a silo, operating a loader, and spreading gravel are all considered valuable assets.

This position requires a Class 1 license.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Maintain daily logs as required, perform trip inspection on equipment operated and loaded ensuring safety and roadworthiness, and complete other paperwork as necessary.
• Experience loading, securing and transporting various types of materials and/or heavy equipment would be an asset.
• Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers' hours, and occupational health & safety.
• Comply with Border Paving Ltd. safe working procedures and practices.
• Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend, and out of town work as required during the construction season (May - November).
• Other duties as required.
