Unbounded Canada Foundation is seeking a passionate Educator to co-coordinate and grow the EcoCooks program in Metro Vancouver. This part-time role involves engaging youth through plant-based cooking and environmental education, promoting sustainable practices, and collaborating with local organizations. Together, we are on a mission to empower youth to take climate action byconnecting how our food choices impact the planet.EcoCooks Club blends inquiry-based environmental activities with tangible cookingskills to build culinary confidence and sustainable eating habits.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced leader to co-coordinate, co-facilitate and growthe EcoCooks program in Metro Vancouver. If you are passionate about theenvironment and plant-based solutions, and a self-starter who solves problems withcare and creativity, this role might be for you.
The Educator will primarily work at the program delivery location(s) and remotely,reports to the Metro Vancouver Coordinator of Unbounded Canada Foundation, andworks collaboratively with our partners, Elements Society, and other localorganizations. Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s licence, as well as a criminalrecord check is required. Candidates who have experience working with youth,knowledge of the current climate crisis, facilitation, and / or plant-based cookingincluding : making substitutions; teaching various food prep and cooking techniquesto youth; and having familiarity with the Canada Food Guide and nutritionalinformation are preferred.
