Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Interactive Arts and Technology, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Research Minecraft Education capabilities, tools, APIs, coding environments, and best practices for game-based STEM education.
  • Support the design and development of interactive STEM learning modules within Minecraft Education.
  • Develop and implement programming and technical components required for Minecraft-based learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with Education and Student Programs staff and TRIUMF researchers to ensure scientific accuracy and appropriate learning outcomes.
  • Prototype, test, troubleshoot, and refine Minecraft Education modules.
  • Develop supporting resources and documentation for educators and students.
  • Participate in user testing and incorporate feedback to improve functionality, accessibility, and learner experience.
  • Document technical development processes to support future maintenance and expansion of the modules.
  • Contribute ideas for new approaches to digital STEM learning and educational technology at TRIUMF.

## Job Summary:Educational Software Developer will support the development of interactive STEM digital learning resources using Microsoft tools.
