Job summary

The Chinook School Division invites applications for an Educational Assistant at Fairview School in Saskatchewan. This temporary full-time position is 1.042 FTE (6.25 hours per day) with a start date of Sept 1, 2026 and end date of Mar 31, 2027, in a diverse, inclusive school community.

Successful candidates will have an Educational Assistant certification or relevant experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in both one-on-one and classroom settings to support students’

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills; ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion and reconciliation.
• Interview will be required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with a student's educational program.
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
• Meet health and hygiene needs of children as required.
• Provide individualized support in speech, motor, language development and social skills.
• Participate in development and implementation of an Individual Improvement Plan.
• May involve some lifts and transfers.
