Job summary

Simplication is seeking an Education Assistant to support students in Grades 1 to 9 with complex medical needs in the Elevate Medical Support Classroom. The role involves working under the direction of the classroom teacher and Learning Coach, providing flexible support to promote independence and safety.

Preference is given to candidates with an Educational Assistant Certificate, strong interpersonal skills, and experience with diverse needs, including collaboration with educational support

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate required or equivalent.
• Experience with students with medical and developmental needs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible support to students according to their changing needs.
• Implement medical plans and recognize warning signs.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain student dignity and privacy.
• Collaborate with teachers, Learning Coach and LPN.
