Job summary

Wolfcreek is seeking an Educational Assistant for a part-time 0.91 FTE temporary replacement in an Elementary classroom. Duties begin as soon as possible and run through December 18, 2026, with potential extension.

The role involves assisting students with diverse needs in an inclusive setting. Candidates should have strong communication, interpersonal skills, and be able to work one-on-one or in small groups.

Qualifications

Assignment:

• Working with students in an Elementary classroom
• Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue until December 18, 2026 with the possibility of extension
• Duties will include providing assistance to students with diverse needs within an inclusive classroom

Qualifications:

• Experience working with students with complex needs would be considered an asset
• Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationships
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
• Calm and patient approach to solving problems and assisting with co-regulation
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated learning environment
• Ability to work one-on-one or with a student in an inclusive environment
• Background and/or experience with complex behavioural needs
• Ability to be flexible in assigned duties; may include personal care, hygiene, and assisting with meals and/or medication
