Job summary

Wolfcreek is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant (0.60 FTE) to provide one-on-one support to a student in an elementary classroom. The role is mornings only, Monday through Friday, with duties starting as soon as possible through the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year.

The successful candidate will have Educational Assistant experience and strong interpersonal skills, with a calm, patient, and collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant.
• Experience with speech and language delays would be asset.
• Experience supporting students with behavioral needs would be asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a student in an elementary classroom.
• Assist with routines and transitions and support the classroom teacher.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the classroom team.

Qualifications and/or Assets:

• Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
• Experience with Students who have speech and language delays would be considered an asset
• Experience supporting students and children with behavioral needs would be considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
• Background and/or Experience working with children with diverse needs
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to be flexible in assigned duties
• Ability to work with numerous service providers Calm and patient approach to solving problems
• Reliability and eager to learn would be considered an asset
