Job summary

St. Hubert School, part of the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board, is seeking a qualified education staff member. The role requires a two-year diploma in a related field and experience with students who have diverse needs, including behavioral challenges.

Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, along with access to a vehicle for local travel. Ideal candidates will have experience with augmentative communication and remote learning tools such as Google Classroom

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field such as Developmental Service Worker, Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, or Practical Nursing (formerly RNA diploma).
• Experience working with students with multiple needs including physical needs, Autism, developmental delays, behavior, and anger management needs.
• Preference for candidates with direct experience with behavior exceptionalities.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Working knowledge and experience of behavior modification strategies.
• Knowledge of augmentative communication strategies.
• Experience using technology and digital tools and resources that support the remote learning environment (e.g., Google Classroom, Google Meet).
• Excellent interpersonal skills; and
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Regular access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Mandatory Requirements

• Two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field such as Developmental Service Worker, Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, or Practical Nursing (formerly RNA diploma).
