Job summary

District School Board Ontario North East at Roland Michener Secondary School is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students with diverse needs. This temporary 1.0 FTE position runs from ASAP until June 25, 2027 or return of the absent employee.

The role involves assisting with classroom activities, adapting materials, and helping students access the curriculum in both integrated and high-support settings.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Developmental Services Worker, or related field, and/or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience working with students with special education needs of varying ages, preferably in a school setting.

Position Summary:

Compensation:

Salary in accordance with the current OSSTF-EA collective agreement Collective Agreement

$25.76 per hour - $30.55 per hour (plus vacation pay)
