Sturgeon Public Schools in Alberta is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 at Landing Trail School to support students from Preschool to Grade 4 with diverse learning needs.

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, you will provide individualized and small-group support for academic, social, and behavioural development and help create an inclusive, student-centred classroom environment.

Formación

• Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate required.
• Experience supporting students with Autism or behavioural needs preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Training or experience in behaviour support, TCIS, developmental and emotional regulation strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills essential.
• Flexibility, patience, and a student-centred approach are valued.
• Equivalencies combining education, knowledge, and experience may be considered.
• Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector check.

Support students in their learning journey and make a lasting impact.

Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for a work assignment at Landing Trail .

Every student learns differently and deserves the support they need to thrive. As an Educational Assistant, you play an important role in helping students access learning, build confidence, and experience success in the classroom. Through collaboration, encouragement, and individualised support, you help create inclusive learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their potential.

Landing Trail School serves approximately 400 students from Preschool to Grade 4, including LOGOS programming, which integrates faith-based learning into the Alberta curriculum. This role provides essential support to students and staff in an inclusive and caring school environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will:

• Support students across a range of grades and learning needs


• Assist with academic, social, and behavioural development


• Provide individualised and small-group support as needed


• Contribute to a caring, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment


• Collaborate with school staff to promote student success and well-being
