Position Summary
Serpent River First Nation is seeking a dedicated and community-minded Education Program Coordinator to join the Department of Education. Reporting to the Director of Education, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering education-based programs that support the growth, wellbeing, and success of children and youth.
This position provides direct oversight of the After School Program, PA Day Programming, and Summer Day Camp, ensuring activities are safe, engaging, culturally relevant, and responsive to community needs.
The Education Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with SRFN departments, including Health and Culture, to provide programming focused on academic support, healthy living, wellness, recreation, Anishinaabemowin language learning, and cultural teachings. The Coordinator will also supervise part-time junior staff and assist with family and community wellness initiatives.
