Job summary

Steele’s Transportation Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor (Edmonton) to oversee dock operations, coordinate fleet maintenance, and drive safety and compliance across the terminal. You will onboard drivers, organize cross-dock activities, and collaborate with sales to grow revenue while maintaining efficient freight handling.

The role requires strong leadership, multi-tasking, and excellent communication in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a terminal setting in transportation preferred.
• Trained in TDG and forklift certified.
• WHMIS certified and safety-focused with strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Dock Operations and assign daily tasks.
• Lead fleet management and monitor maintenance schedules.
• Recruit, onboard and train drivers; ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with dispatch and sales to grow cross-dock revenue.
• Maintain records and track performance metrics for the terminal.
