Job summary

Matrix HR is recruiting experienced Concrete Carpenters / Formwork Carpenters on behalf of an established commercial-industrial concrete contractor for ongoing projects in the Edmonton area.

This hands-on role involves building, setting, bracing, stripping and repairing formwork for foundations, slabs, equipment pads, grade beams and walls, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and productivity. Travel to various Edmonton-area sites is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Concrete Carpenter or Formwork Carpenter
• Hands-on experience building, setting, bracing, stripping, and repairing concrete formwork
• Experience with structural and/or flatwork concrete construction
• Ability to read basic construction drawings, specifications, and field instructions
• Ability to set forms to required line, grade, elevation and alignment
• Experience with foundations, slabs, equipment pads, grade beams, walls, and other structural concrete applications
• Experience coordinating with rebar and concrete placement teams
• Ability to travel to Edmonton-area sites
• Strong safety record and reliable attendance

Responsibilities

• Build, set, brace, strip, and repair concrete formwork on commercial and industrial projects
• Support concrete projects including foundations, slabs, equipment pads, grade beams
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure safety and productivity
